Alan Miller, Non-Executive Director

Alan is a founding partner of SCM Private, the wealth management company. He was formerly Chief Investment Officer and a founding shareholder of New Star Asset Management, which he helped to grow substantially from its formation in early 2001 until his departure in 2007.

He was previously a Director of Jupiter Asset Management Limited between 1994 and 2000, where he was in charge of their specialist high performance division. Prior to Jupiter, he was a senior fund manager at Gartmore Investment Management Limited between 1988 and 1994, and a Fund Manager at Hermes Investment Management Limited between 1986 and 1988.

Alan has a degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Birmingham, is a qualified Management Accountant and holds investment qualifications from the Society of Investment Analysts, the London Stock Exchange and the London Business School.
